Specialty lighting applications like short arc lamps and other lamp types require machined pure tungsten electrodes, anodes and cathodes. Ion implantation is necessary for the economical production of these solid state devices. These electrodes come in many different sizes and configurations that require expert machining skills for manufacturing.
